So we've all heard. Slumdog made it huge in the academy awards. And I just found out why. Was watching the red carpet as well as the award show itself...There's something about indian children, some of which from poor backgrounds, hardly speaking a word of english besides "wonderful and amazing", that just touches the heart. At the end when they accepted the award for Best Picture, the whole freaking cast went up on stage and (not to be racist here) it looked like they were gonna start singing in tamil and dance with their hands in the air while A-list stars stare at them thinking "how the hell......"

Yes I analyse the show alot. Nothing better to do I spose...since most of the people I can actually stand are probably fighting bushfires or saving koalas.

Been trying to keep myself occupied the past couple of days. Baking, cycling/skiing (wtv u call tht machine), movies, cooking, grocery shopping.....I swear if I eat another cookie or custard pudding........

It's not a problem, it's just how I function

After a very VERY crappy day yesterday, I have came to a conclusion that I (we) should be less of a bitch. I'm not saying actually being...nice....That's crazy talk ! But u know...more along the lines of not insulting pathetic MiniMouse sounding girls on the radio, less cursing at drivers who just want to end their freaking lives in an accident, lifeless ppl tht go to places I want to go causing massive jams and mosh pits.....impossible sounding? well believe it !

On the bright side (and I'm sure karma played a part in this) I was able to find the tallest building in Pusat Bandar Damansara without getting lost, got to have dim sum porridge, found a cheap mouse for my laptop, find parking right outside the dvd shop in SS2 on a FRIDAY NIGHT and watch a surprisingly funny movie in the comfort of huei's place lol

Think..in fifty years time...

My grandmother is seventy this year. She's downstairs with 2 of her friends all of which are staying at my place. Sounds normal eh? well...the 2 friends of hers are her primary school friends. PRIMARY SCHOOL ! And yet I don't think anything has changed their friendship until today. Was sitting downstairs while they were talking and laughing (even with minimal talking they can laugh so hard....the 'real' kind of laugh) and seriously....it's pretty damn amazing.

They're staying in the guest room. And my grandmother insists on moving a mattress there so she can join them. My god its like an old lady slumber party. I can already picture them gossiping bout latest hollywood news, relationships, giggling over hot guys, painting each others nails....ok I'm thinking of the blonde bimbo's sleepover... Imagine 3 old ladies with curly hair and glasses in their pj's (have u ever realised how similar old ladies hairstyles are?)

Tomorrow will be their (I don't know how many years) school reunion. And here I'm trying to imagine how it'll be like for me next time. Freaky....like when u guys visit and stay over at my place, which is actually my kid's place, who is married and have their own kids. And not to sound mean....but the biggest fear of losing a friend is literally....losing a friend. Damn tht was dark.

Well wtv it is, u all are welcome to crash at 'my place' when we're old and wrinkly =)

Maybe it's something bout the way he screams like a coward in gun fights or how he miraculously knows every computer/gaming gadget known to man tht makes him so appealing.... Did I mention he's awesome in guitar hero? See I dont only look for culinary inclined ppl k...sheash....

Where on this earth can I be

So I've been back for a couple of weeks now and it finally feels like my usual summer breaks. Lunch/dinner meet ups, TV, baking, endless supply of series, pointless telephone calls, driving....

Weird thing was, it took me approx 2 min to get use to almost everything here. Like I never left at all. Some things stay the same though.. like how me n my bros would chat on msn even though we're all at home (its a hastle commuting to each others room).

I'm not saying my stay in Aus flew past THAT fast. Even when I think back, I actually did quite alot of shit while I was there. No I'm not gonna start emo-ing bout my time there n all (though I sorta did when we watched the vid Dex made lol).

So many pics I haven't uploaded yet. Hopefully they're not accidentally deleted from my memory stick. It's like the only thing I can look back and remember my last 4 days there, which I admit..was productive ! lol
